The 0–100 scale is a normalised, criteria-based risk index that has been further categorised into 3 categories for easy interpretation. Higher values indicate unfavourable conditions for sporting leisure, Lower value indicate better conditions for sporting leisure - index designed around cycling.

Parameter fields used in the index are terrain-corrected using a digital elevation model with finer resolution than the underlying GFS terrain. This does not resolve every detail or guarantee conditions at an individual location.

Read the valid date and local time printed on each map. Gallery numbers identify the 51 sequential daylight images; they are not forecast lead hours. Playback follows all 51 daylight frames, including those hidden by the gallery filter.
